Our STORY
Passion, Excellence, and Sustainability
Gostoso, meaning “delicious” in Portuguese, isn’t just our name – it’s a promise. Our journey began in 2017 when our founder, Colin Francis, embarked on a global quest driven by his love for Brazilian coffee. His mission: to share the exquisite flavours of his homeland with the world while championing ethical and sustainable coffee practices.
Colin’s travels took him from Brazil, across the world, fostering deep connections with coffee experts and gaining insights into international preferences. This knowledge, combined with his decades of industry experience, culminated in the 2021 launch of BR Food Industries (BFI) in Dubai – a strategic hub for reaching global markets.
Building a Legacy of Excellence
From the lush coffee plantations of Brazil to your cup, Gostoso embodies an unwavering commitment to quality. We forge direct partnerships with Brazilian farmers, prioritizing fair compensation, sustainable practices, and respect for the land. The vibrant flavors of our coffee are a testament to this dedication.
We believe coffee can be a powerful force for positive change. Colin Francis’ leadership in climate-smart initiatives, including his board membership with Sustainology, underscores our focus on the future of the industry. We collaborate with leading organisations like the International Coffee Organisation (ICO) and the UN’s International Trade Centre (ITC), ensuring Gostoso remains at the forefront of ethical practices. This is our Sustainability Leadership
Our commitment extends to the heart of Brazil, where we champion regenerative agriculture, carbon credit programs, and the preservation of heirloom coffee varieties.
Fuelled by Passion, Driven by Purpose
Gostoso is more than just a coffee brand. It’s a testament to Colin Francis’ profound understanding of Brazilian coffee culture and his belief in its potential to delight the world. As we expand our reach, we invite you to savour the exceptional flavours of Gostoso and join us in celebrating the richness of Brazil, one cup at a time.
